Redmi is preparing to launch a budget tablet in India. The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is confirmed to launch in the coming days. Before the launch, the specifications and renders were leaked by renowned tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. Let’s check out all the details we know so far below.
The Redmi Pad SE flaunts a circular camera module on the rear side housing the camera sensor and an LED flash. It looks clean and sophisticated in the grey color option. There will also be more color options including green and sky blue. However moving to the front, there are thick bezels that give this tablet a budget look.
The Redmi Pad SE features an 8.7-inch LCD. It has a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels. Hopefully, Redmi gives high refresh support for a butter-smooth experience on the tablet.
Powering the tablet is the Helio G99 chipset. It is MediaTek’s mid-range offering 8-cores and is based on 6nm architecture. It is capable of performing decently in day-to-day usage and even moderate gaming. The tablet comes with 4GB RAM and options of 64GB or 128GB internal storage. For further storage, the Redmi Pad SE 8.4 has SD card support allowing up to 2TB of expansion.
The camera is not a highlight for this budget-oriented tablet. It has a single 8MP primary shooter and a 5MP selfie camera.
The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 tablet comes with a 6650mAh battery. The tablet ships with HyperOS based on Android 14 OS. Moreover, it also features Dolby Atmos support for enhanced audio quality.
