Midterm elections are coming and Michelle Obama wants everybody to cast a ballot.
The former FLOTUS is assembling an all-star team of celebrities — including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tom Hanks, Janelle Monáe, and more — to help register voters across the country.
Together, the group has formed When We All Vote: A non-profit that strives to ensure everyone's voices can be heard in elections both big and small.
"In my family, voting was a sacred responsibility, one which we never took for granted," Obama tweeted on Thursday to announce her latest endeavor. "I’m excited to be a part of @WhenWeAllVote to inspire and empower all eligible voters to make their voices heard. #WhenWeAllVote, we can make history."

"Voting is the only way to ensure that our values and priorities are represented in the halls of power. And it's not enough to just vote for president every four years," Obama said in an earlier statement.
Along with Obama, Miranda, Hanks, and Monáe, When We All Vote’s co-chairs include NBA player Chris Paul, and singers Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Together they hope to improve low voter registration rates before upcoming elections and start a national conversation around political responsibilities of each citizen.
According to a press release, When We All Vote will work to recruit and train volunteers to register new voters in communities across America. The organization will also host IRL events and make online efforts to reach and inspire unregistered voters, making it easy for them to register or request a voter registration form on-site.
"It's gonna be our generation that corrects the mistakes of our past and creates a more inclusive future that works for us all," Monáe said in a statement, with Paul adding, "Voting gives us the power to create real change and change doesn't happen if we remain silent."
When We All Vote released it's first PSA (shown above) on Wednesday, and will continue sharing updates on its website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages in the coming months.
So be sure to follow along for more information, and register to vote... Michelle Obama said so.
